Daniel Craig is the 6th actor to play the charismatic British agent James Bond. Born in England, March 2nd, 1968, Craig is actually younger than some of the earliest James Bond movies! Daniel Craig has recently won accolades for being the best dressed man in Britain, and one of the sexiest men alive. James Bond himself would approve! Read on for some background on Daniel Craig.

Previous Daniel Craig movies include:

The Power of One (1992), Obsession (1997), Hotel Splendide (2000), Layercake (2004), Lara Croft:Tomb Raider (2001), The Golden Compass (2007), The Invasion (2007), Road to Perdition (2002), Sword of Honour (2001), Sylvia (2003), The Mother (2003), Enduring Love (2004), Fateless (2005), The Jacket (2005), Munich (2005), and Infamous (2006).

Daniel Craig’s famous leading ladies, apart from the gorgeous Bond girls, include:

Nicole Kidman both in The Golden Compass and The Invasion, Sienna Miller in Layercake, Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Gwyneth Paltrow in Sylvia.

Daniel Craig’s famous former squeezes are:

Kate Moss.
Sienna Miller (allegedly while she was still involved with Jude Law).
Fiona Louden who he was married to from 1992 till 1994, and who is the mother of his daughter.

Other Daniel Craig trivia:

  • Although Daniel Craig is 5 foot 11 inches, he is still the shortest actor to portray James Bond.
  • The first James Bond movie that Daniel Craig viewed was Live and Let Die in 1973, featuring Roger Moore.
  • Daniel Craig started acting at the age of 6. His debut performance was in Oliver! in his local school’s production.
  • In 1984, at 16, he left high school to audition for the National Youth Theatre’s troupe and was accepted for the Manchester tour. Following on from this he toured with the NYT to Spain and Russia.
  • In 2007 GQ presented Craig with the title of best dressed man in Britain.
  • Also in 2007 People magazine labelled Craig as “one of the sexiest men alive”.
  • Daniel Craig is the first blonde actor to portray James Bond.
  • Daniel Craig is rumoured to be the highest paid male actor in Britain, according to Men’s Vogue.
  • After displaying his fantastic physique in those bathing trunks in Casino Royale, Craig was voted as the World’s sexiest man in a Durex condom poll in December 2006.
  • Craig attended the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he graduated in 1991, alongside Joseph Fiennes and Ewan McGregor.
  • Daniel Craig is signed on up to James Bond 25. (Quantum of Solace being James Bond movie number 22.)
  • Daniel Craig lists Sean Connery as his favourite James Bond actor.
  • Daniel Craig was made a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2007. These are the folk who vote on the nomination ballots for the Academy Awards.

Craig has promised fans more bedroom scenes in the next Bond movie. Apparently die hard fans (not to mention Craig’s own fans) were disappointed with the number of bedroom scenes in Quantum of Solace. Also lacking from the new James Bond movie were the famous quotes “Shaken, not stirred“, and “Bond, James Bond”. The two well loved characters Q and Miss Moneypenny are also absent from the latest Bond film. Not having Q playing around in a basement of course means that in this film James is without any groovy or mind boggling gadgets. This is probably just as disappointing to Bond fans as the drop in steamy bedroom scenes.

Handsome, sexy, well dressed, and talented, all our eyes are on Daniel Craig. Move over James Bond.

Daniel Craig is defnitely one of the best looking British actors I have seen. I love that photo on the top of this post with him in a suit and a swim suit…the swimsuit is exactly what I picture when I look at that suit picture….mmm.

Anyways, I do have some qualms with the latest Bond movie, but it wasn’t bad. I amm excited to see what comes next, that is for sure. But, as for other people, I am surprised that the rating of the movie is as low as it is. I don’t claim to be an extreme Bond fanatic, so I guess I don’t have as much of a say as some of these people do: http://www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc
